10-Day Lead Nurture — Email + SMS + AI Call Sequence
Most prospects don’t book the first time they hit your firm. They Google, they research, they think about it. Without a multi-channel nurture, 80% disappear. Our 10-day sequence stays in front of them across email, SMS, and AI calls until they’re ready — converting an additional 8–15% of inbound leads into booked consultations.
Day-by-Day Multi-Channel Cadence
Here’s the actual default sequence that loads when we install the snapshot. Each touchpoint is calibrated for content type, channel, and tone. Practice areas can adjust the specific copy during onboarding.
Day 1 — Welcome email (sent within 5 minutes of intake)
Topic: confirmation + what to expect. Tone: warm, professional, not salesy. Includes the consultation prep checklist if a consult was booked, or “here’s what we typically help with” content if not yet booked.
Day 1 — Welcome SMS (30 minutes after email)
Short, friendly: “Hi [name], this is Sarah from [firm name] — got your message and looking forward to helping. Anything urgent come up since you reached out?”
Day 2 — Practice-area-specific value email
For PI: “What to do if you’ve been in an accident — common mistakes that hurt your case.” For divorce: “5 questions to ask before filing.” For DUI: “What happens at your DMV hearing.” Each email is education-first, not sales-first.
Day 4 — Social proof email
Case studies, recent settlements (where ethical), Google reviews snapshot. Builds credibility without being braggy.
Day 4 — SMS reminder if consult is booked
“Quick reminder — your consult with [attorney] is at [time]. Anything I can help you prepare?”
Day 6 — “Time-sensitive” email (if applicable)
For practice areas with deadlines (PI statute of limitations, DUI DMV window, employment EEOC clock, etc.), this email gently surfaces the urgency without manufacturing it.
Day 7 — SMS personal check-in
“Hi [name], wanted to check in — anything we can help with?” Personal tone, no pitch.
Day 8 — AI follow-up call
For prospects who haven’t engaged with email or SMS, the AI calls. Conversational opening: “Hi, this is Sarah from [firm name] — just calling to follow up on your earlier message and see if there’s anything we can help with.”
Day 10 — Final “we’re here” email + SMS
Soft close: “If now isn’t the right time, that’s totally fine — just know we’re here when you need us.” Removes pressure, positions firm as a long-term resource.
What Happens After Day 10
Leads who didn’t engage during the 10-day sequence move to the long-tail nurture. They get one email per month (legal updates, market commentary, case study) for the next 12 months. After 12 months without engagement, they enter the database reactivation queue for a fresh re-engagement attempt.
Why the Multi-Channel Mix Outperforms Email-Only
Different prospects engage on different channels. Some open every email. Some never open email but answer every text. Some don’t text but answer every call. A single-channel nurture (email only, or SMS only) misses 60–70% of your prospect base. The 10-day sequence layers all three channels so every prospect gets multiple chances on their preferred channel.
Channel-specific engagement averages from our installed firms:
- Email: 28% open rate, 4% click rate
- SMS: 92% open rate, 18% response rate
- AI call: 38% answer rate, 22% conversation rate, 11% booked-on-call rate
Layered together, total contact rate across the 10 days is 78–85% — meaning 4 out of 5 prospects engage with at least one touchpoint. Single-channel campaigns top out around 30%.
Lead Nurture FAQ
Can I customize the email copy?
Yes. Pre-written templates are starting points. Most firms tweak voice and specific examples during the 10-hour customization window. Some practice areas (immigration, employment) require more specific copy that we draft together.
What about Spanish-language nurture?
Full Spanish-language sequence included. Not just translation — culturally calibrated for Hispanic communities. Add other languages (Mandarin, Vietnamese, Portuguese, Russian) during onboarding.
Does it stop if the prospect books?
Yes. The moment a prospect books a consultation, the nurture sequence pauses and the consultation reminder cascade takes over. After the consultation, depending on outcome (signed retainer, declined, no-show), the prospect routes to a different workflow.
What if a prospect replies with 'stop'?
Immediate opt-out. The contact is removed from all email/SMS communication and tagged as DNC. Compliance-mandatory.
Are there practice-area variants?
Yes. PI, immigration, family, criminal defense, estate planning, bankruptcy each have their own pre-written sequence with practice-specific content and tone. Configured automatically based on intake practice area.
